Yelagiri is also known as “Elagiri”, is a small Hill Station in Vellore district Tamil Nadu. state. Yelagiri, at an altitude of 920 meters above sea level, stands grandly in the middle of the four mountains. This is a hill station with salubrious weather popular all through the year. So that visitors do not keep themselves away to come here during winters. The place is mixed with the fragrant of verdant fruits and vegetations are surrounded by the plantation, rose garden, and green valleys. Driving through the pleasant scene of landscapes can be magnificent.

The major town of Yelagiri Hills is Athanavur, which involves a twisting road through the hills with isolated villages. Yelagiri is also one of the well-known places for trekkers. This place is very much popular between the Adventurous Sports lovers, because of that this place becomes a second-best natural spot for sports in India right after Panchgani(Maharashtra).

  • By Rail: Jolarpettai Junction which is 22 km away. Tourists can easily get a bus or taxis from here to Yelagiri. The station is well connected with the major cities of India.
  • By Road: The place is well connected to major cities via road. Tourists or visitors can easily get state buses for major cities with ease. Tourists also can rent the cab or taxi to reach here as well.
