Sirmour is situated on the south-eastern portion of the Himachal Pradesh state. The region is renowned for its peach, which comes from Rajgarh district, it is popularly known as” The Peach Bowl”. relic maturing which are 85 million years old have been found here. The town was established in 1090 AD by Raja Rasloo of Jaisalmer and was a royal state amid the British rule in India. The town because of its varied beautiful places and an enamored atmosphere makes this place one of the best tourist destinations of Himachal Pradesh.
Bhureshwar Mahadev is also a famous religious and tourist destination in sirmour district. A larger part of the population is Hindu and subsequently, a great many people revere Hindu divinities (devtas) and watch different related traditions and rituals. Sirmauri is used as a local language. Geographically there are six tehsils in this district, namely Nahan, Renuka, Shillai, Rajgarh, Pachhad and Paonta Sahib. The Giri River divides the district into two equal parts: Giripar and Giriaar.

- By Air: Chandigarh is the nearest airport which is well connected with the major cities of India, and located at the distance of 120 km away from Sirmour.
- By Road: HRTC ply the regular buses for Sirmour from other cities of states. Private buses and other vehicles are also available from Pathankot, Chandigarh, and Delhi as well.
