Khammam

Khammam city, past known as Kammamet, is the fourth biggest city in the Indian province of Telangana. It is situated in the province of Telangana, around 200 km from the capital Hyderabad. A generally critical city, Khammam facilitated numerous developments during India’s opportunity battle. The Khammam Fort, which had times of rule by both Hindu and Muslim pioneers, is a renowned social milestone of the city, and a well known vacationer location.

The current name of the city has been gotten from a neighborhood slope known as Stambhadri. Prior it was otherwise called Stambhadri, Kambhadri, Kambham Mettu and Khammam Mettu. As indicated by legends, the Narsimhadri sanctuary arranged here on a peak is said to have existed since 1.6 million years, the city gets its name from the vertical stone that goes about as a column or ‘Khamba’ underneath the sanctuary. With the ongoing expansion of 14 close by towns, the city acquired the status of a metropolitan organization.
