Dadra and Nagar Haveli is one of the three areas of the union territory of Haveli and Daman and Diu. It is made out of two separate land elements: Nagar Haveli, wedged among Maharashtra and Gujarat, and, 1 km toward the northwest, the littler enclave of Dadra, which is encompassed by Gujarat. It covers a zone of 487 km2 and comprises two talukas: Dadra, Nagar Haveli. Dadra is the central station of Dadra taluka, containing Dadra town and two different towns.
This peaceful, mystical place where there are 72 towns has a checkered history. For a century and a large portion of, the searing Portuguese were the bosses of the land. The Indian patriot volunteers freed Dadra, Nagar Haveli in July 1954 and a professional India organization was framed. Under the tenth Amendment to the Constitution, the territories of Dadra, Nagar Haveli turned into a midway directed union territory with impact from August 11, 1961.
