Corjuem Fort is situated close to Mapusa River in Aldona village. This is one of the major fort built by Portuguese in 1705 and stands 4 km far from Pomburpa. It is one of the two inland forts that survive today. The Smallest Forts in Goa.The fort receives many visitors because of its unique location. Tourists can appreciate a lovely view of the surrounding nature and scenery. The fort is a square structure with ramps at the four corners. The entire fort has this unique pattern of vegetation all along the stone floor. This fort is also known as the “Khorjuem Fort”. It is one of the tiny forts in Goa, yet looks magnificent.

in the early 1800s, the fort was used as a Military School and had in its defenses a battery of four guns. Thus, the walls of the fort have many legends and stories to tell at this Goa island. A vantage point atop the fort gives you stunning views of lush greenery all around as one of the stunning places to visit in Goa. The fortress defended the town of Corjuem and also had a chapel under the parochial church of Aldona.
